Can the milk be heated? This is not recommended, as it would destroy the enzymes.
Can this bag be used for other things? like herbal bath salts?Sure – we recommend the bag with the drawstring for bath salts. There are probably many practical uses for for the E3 Nut Milk/Sprouting Bag including: homemade cheeses, cold brew coffee or tea, and more.
Does the nut milk need to be refrigerated?Yes.
How long will nut milk stay good/fresh?3-4 days in the fridge—longer if frozen —if the milk tastes sour or is curdled, it's no longer good.
How many times can the E3Live Nut Milk/Sprouting Bag be re-used?With regular cleaning and typical use, you should be able to use it daily for a year or more.
What is the best way to use the E3Live Nut Milk/Sprouting Bag for sprouting? For Sprouting: Soak seeds in the E3Live Nut Milk/Sprouting Bag in a big bowl of water. Rinse, then tie a string or rubberband very tightly around the top of the sprout bag and hang on a hook or knob, rinse often, and watch the sprouts grow! Large nuts and seeds are what is recommended to use with the sprout bag such as sunflower seeds, garbanzos, peas, lentils, and mung beans where only a small tail is desired. For long sprouts such as wheatgrass, buckwheat greens, pea shoots and alfafa, it may be better to use trays instead of the bag.
What is the best way to wash this bag?Wash with soap and water.
What is the shelf life on the pulp?Approximately 1 week in the refrigerator.
What is this bag made of? Is this material recyclable? It's made of nylon which is partially or mostly recyclable. This bag will last a long time and may be reused over and over.
What kinds of nuts can be used to make nut milk? Our favorite is hazelnut milk, you can also use almonds, brazil nuts, macadamia nuts — (you can use any nut, but in our opinion, these make the best nut milks).
Will this bag come with a drawstring of ribbon to tie shut? There are two options, with or without a drawstring.
